for this project, I interviewed people who are at a crossroads in their life: 21 years old, in their final year of university, and about to start their adult lives in the real world.
I asked them a few simple questions:
what is your favorite album of all time and why?
do you associate this album with a certain memory/time in your life?
does this album evoke the same emotions as it did the first time you heard it?
what does this album mean to you as you are about to both end a current chapter and start a new chapter in your life?
my hope for this project is to create a visual and auditory time capsule - something that we can look back on years from now to see what music meant the world to 21-year olds in 2021.
